The Gallery at C’mon Everybody

325 FRANKLIN AVE • BROOKLYN

In the back room of C'mon Everybody in Brooklyn, NY, is the intimate C'mon Gallery. It seemed a fitting venue for my debut solo exhibition, featuring a selection of my most erotic charcoal drawings, inspired by vintage gay pornography, and the cruising culture of gay bars, back rooms, and sex clubs.

Under the red lights, the black and white artwork took on a new life, pulling the viewer into the world of the artwork and really allowing people to connect with it. You could almost smell the mix of stale beer and sweaty men. While I was initially apprehensive about putting the lighting ahead of the art itself, I do think it truly amplified my vision for the show.

The show ran from October - November 2024 and was curated by lan Stearns.
